It has to be about more than just receiving…

“But Steph, it has to be about more than just receiving.”

Sometimes, when I tell my clients, to just receive, they don’t believe they can receive more money that easily.

But what I’ve found, it it is often that easy.

Here’s why…

My clients are already doing the inner work and they are taking actions to move their businesses forward. So, by the time they sit down with me, it is usually just a simple tweak of opening them up to receive more.

“Okay, but like logically how do I do it? How can I open myself up to receive more?”

The answer to this question is not about what you’re doing, but more how you’re feeling.

For me, I am most open to receive when I’m having fun (this is also the case for most people), but as someone who enjoys the doing and strategy side of my business, I’ve had to find a happy harmony. Because the truth is, I do desire to make a lot of money, but not work a million hours a week. So I tap into an abundant blissful feeling when I’m in my strategy and then get really present when I’m on the receiving side.

This will feel incredibly uncomfortable at first, but the best way to practice receiving is to sit, preferably in a sunny place, and imagine every cell of you body filling with sunlight. For me it helps to repeat, “Thank you for the sun I am receiving.” as I repeat this phrase, I slow my breath and feel it move through my body. Simply slowing down as an be enough to start to open you up to receive more.
