I bought her love…

Up until about a year ago, my relationship with my oldest daughter was meh.

We struggled to see eye to eye on anything and I felt like I was always fussy at her.

And I didn’t want this to be our relationship as she entered the teen years.

So, I quit.

I quit trying to force her into things I was interested in and instead learn to appreciate more of what she was interested in…

We started with a trip to Lululemon and I bought her love (and it wasn’t cheap).

Just kidding.

I did spend a good amount of money that trip but to see her face and be able to let her choose her clothes was worth every penny.

Since then we’ve had few moments of annoyance with each other, but she talks to me regularly and seeks my advice in almost all situation. And she feels heard when she voices her opinion, which is vital.

We’ve created an amazing bond and it continues to grow and I honesty love being her go to person for most advice.
