They wouldn’t think that if they actually knew me…
“They wouldn’t think that if they actually knew me.”
It can be really hard to accept compliments from others and maybe you've spent years just nodding them off, but what if you actually received those compliments?
What if you actually allowed those compliments to lift you up and make you smile?
What would life look like then?
Chances are somewhere along the way someone complimented you and it felt too big for you to own and soon after it became your pattern- shrugging off compliments.
Maybe you believe that this is what it means to be humble and you want to be humble, right?
This is not humility.
Humility is thinking about yourself less. Not thinking less of yourself.
You can own those compliments. ALL OF THEM. And it doesn't make you a bad person to receive compliments. In fact it makes you an amazing example for the rest of us.
So, yes, when I message you and tell you're amazing - just receive it.
I don't expect anything in return, I just want you to begin to believe in yourself. Because my guess is it's been far too long since you really had someone cheering you on.
Maybe you're thinking Steph, you don't know anything about me, how could you say I'm amazing?!
I can tell you you're amazing because you are. You and I aren't very different and if I believe that I am capable of achieving anything I set to my mind to, then I believe that you are too!!
Receive this openly when I tell you- You are truly amazing!
Love ya,
Stephanie
