I always imagined what kind of mother I’d be…

I always imagined what kind of mother I’d be...

The mom who made amazing home cooked meals ALL the time.

The mom who read books to her kids at night in silly voices.

The mom who made these amazing birthday cakes.

The mom who did fun crafts with her kids and let her kids just create.

The mom who was “cool” and all the neighbor kids wanted to be around.

The mom who was never stressed.

The mom who dressed nice and was always put together.

The mom that was truly happy.

But for years, I fell short of being that mom. I was angry, depressed, constantly screamed at my kids and worried about what every one else thought about me.

While I was busy worrying about what everyone else thought, I lost myself and missed out on my older kids being kiddos. NOT ANY MORE!!

I drew a line in the sand a few years ago and stopped worrying about what other moms or people thought of me. I stopped caring about have a picture perfect clean home.

I learned to love myself and be ME.

And it’s been amazing!!
