I like to give myself little pep talks.

I like to give myself little pep talks.

For instance, as we embark today on a couple days of travel, it can be real easy for me to get overwhelmed and annoyed with my family. Let’s be honest, I love them and we’re going to be in close quarters.

So, this morning before we got in the car, I told myself, “The trip will not go according to your unspoken plans. The children will probably fight and you may be short. But the most important thing is that we all get where we want to go safely. Doesn’t matter how long it takes or how many bathroom breaks we have to take. Relax and enjoy yourself.”

Now, that I’m thinking about it, this feels a lot like life in general 😆
