“You’ll never walk normal again…”

About 7 years ago, the doctors told me I would never walk normal again, after I shattered my kneecap.

From the moment it happened, I told myself I would be okay and constantly reminded myself I was too young to never run again.

Just 15 months from the initial accident, months of physical therapy and an additional surgery to remove the pins, I ran my first marathon.

When I people tell me they hate running and don’t know why I do it, I tell them, “every run is a dream come true.”

So, if you see me grinning from ear to ear and rock out while on the road- I hope it makes you smile too, because I am literally running for my dreams.
